whey protein

Yesterday I was doing some research on the net and came accross a Whey Protein called "MRM Metabolic Whey". I've never taken whey before but I've heard of quite a few different kinds, I never heard of this one though. What I read about it does'nt sound half bad.
If there is someone here who tryed this stuff before, can you please tell me what it has done for you if anhthing?

Im not sure that it has shown amazing results, but i have seen increase of mass over the past month of taking it regularly. 1)wake up, 2)before workout, 3)after workout, 4)before bed

you shouldnt consume that many shakes in a day. Most of your protein should come from real food, not shake. Follow the instructions on the container...says no more than twice daily. I have a shake as my second meal, and my mid day meal. Everything else is from real food.

i agree with that in some sense but i think its ok to drink that many shakes. your body sees protein as protein no matter where it comes from. IMO if you want better results then i would eat more whole food because it comes with so many other amino acids, vitimans, etc....then just regular protein. but if thats all you can do then just drink protein!

I cant see how it would matter either way. by the time your body breaks it down, all thats left is protein, aminos and vitamins and minerals. whole food just takes longer to digest.

i totally diagree with u bowers i tinhk ur name was, u can consume as many protein shakes as u want, i have 3-4 a day atealst, , before workout, after workout ataclly two scoops after work out plus eat, 2 hours after supper, and usally one before bed dpending whe ni go to bed, and u cant tell me i dont eat enough, becausei eat like a mofo, im on a meal plan and eveyrhting

Whole food is ALWAYS better if he is drinking 3-4 shakes a day along with 3-4 meals that is fine I do around 2-3 shakes myself with 3-5 meals...

i agree. i wouldnt depend on shakes alone as your only sorce of protein.

I agree as well. when i said im taking for a day that is definatley not my only protein source. the shake i have when i wake up is what i have with breakfast. so thats not where im getting all of my protein intake.

i have 3 whole full coasrse meals a day lus snacks and protein shakes, i get enough protien jsutform whole food

Hey, its a supplement, which means "in addition to". Nothing takes the place of real food but if youre eating plenty of whole food, theres nothing bad about throwin in 3-4 shakes a day. Its just the cherry on top!

heres my shake routine

1) wake up (usually i work out within 2 hours of when i wake up
2) after work out (the most important shake time, need fast acting protein)
3) before bed (want to get some slow acting whole food protein before bed, but i usually take a shake with it because that is when your body will do the most recovering and go into proten synthesis)

Oh yea anohter thing, dont listen to anyone from GNC. One guy told me, "you need 2 grams of protein per lb. of body weight, so you should be taking close to 12 protein shakes a day" haha what a dumbas. yea maybe if i didnt eat ANYTHING the rest of the day.

2g of protein per lb is not a bad thing. Im 185 lbs and I get 425g protein/day when bulking. Taking in extra protein is not like taking in extra fat or carbs; if youre lifting, its gonna get good use made of it.

haha thats ****in funny. when i worked there a new manager came in and he was skinny as hell! weird bald guy with a snaggle tooth. :laughing: he told people he drank a protein shake a day when he wanted to gain weight lol :screwy: so i quit.....

Their stuff is way overpriced... you can find stuff much cheaper online. I get my stuff online, only takes about 2 days or so, and it's a whole lot cheaper.
