Is this overtraining my chest? I only do chest on monday along with tris and shoulders. Heres what it looks like.

flat bench-4 warmup sets 1 working
inline close grip bench- 1 working
incline flyes- 1 working
flat flyes- incline db press- 1 working
peck deck- 1 working
tri pulldown-2 working
military press-2 working
10-15 min cardio at end
total workout time 45min

its a total of 9 sets for chest counting warmups. Is that too high too low just right?

i don't think it's too high. i typically do 12-15 sets during a 45 minute w/o-Hook EM

Ok. The other thing i was wonderin is it better just to do a couple of excercises per group with more working sets, or 4 or 5 like im doin with only one working set each.

If you can bench 500-600 then you might need 4 warmup sets....

That workout is terrible IMO....

Flat bench 4 sets
DB Incline press 4 sets

DB or Military press 4 sets
laterals 3 sets
close grip bench or skull crushers 4 sets

there's really no need for all the different lifts bro. Just pick 2 such as flat bench and decline wide grip hammer and kill yourself on those two exercises.

Yes, IMO you are overtraining. There is no need for all those work sets. If done properly 1 work set will be enough to tell your body to add more muscle in order to adjust to the "New" load you have introduced. Just make sure each time you work chest (which should be no more than 2x per week MAX) you are introducing either a heavier weight on your 1 work set or you are doing more reps.

It's hard to say with the training you are doing. Here is my opinion. The chest needs a flat bench, incline bench and a rotation movement. Perhaps 3 sets each. All those warm ups are rediculous if you ask me. If you are working the same muscle, it's already warmed up after the first exercise, why do you feel you need to warm it up again?

Over training? Perhaps. Wasting alot of time? Absolutely.

i just do 6-7 sets of incline bench, 6 reps each. no need for all that stuff man. simplicity is key
