Your pictures didn't show up but may I suggest you vary your workouts, put your muscles into shock. Like doing just your chest on chest days and combine back and shoulders and then just do arms (bi/tri/forearms), or changing up your routine.

Well, here is week 10. I am not seeing much change over the last 4 weeks or so. I have been taking about 3000-3300 calories a day of really lean food. I was talking to one of the guys at the gym today and he told me just to not worry about what I eat, just eat everything in sight. I am afraid that if I do that I will gain a little more unneeded flab. Anyone have anymore ideas of what I can do. I am taking creatine as well, along with protein, vitamins and
N0 explode. I haven’t gained 1lb in 3 weeks. Please help.

Not sure what your diet consists of but try to eat 2 grams of protein for every pound of body weight. Stuff like chicken, plain tuna, lean steak, egg whites. You could probably even eat the yolks since you are pretty lean already. Don't rely on shakes too much and don't eat everything in sight you'll get fat. Don't worry about calories. Just eat more than you burn per day and you will gain weight.

If that doesn't work then give up.

LOL, funny you say that. for the past 3 months i have been eating around 3k calories per day and about 310g of protein, maybe more.

Diet

2 pieces wheat toast
1 piece fat free cheese
Banana

Meal 2

1 slice cheese

Pre work out shake

I usually throw iin a salad or an apple through out the day. I have been eating the same exact way daily l(above) for the past 10 weeks or so.

It should be around 3100 calores, 300g protein, 300 carbs and 65g of fat.

Damn...... All I can say then is maybe vary your workout. Try lifting heavier with a spotter or something. If you do the same workout for too long some say your body will plateau. Switch up the workouts.

well i can tell a big difference. you're definitely not soft anymore! I'm assuming you're still pretty young, so i would have to agree with the guy at your gym and tell you not to worry about what you are eating, just eat everything on top of your workouts...

Yea I consider myself young(25), is that still young?LOL! I guess I can sure give it a shot, try to eat much more food and see what happens. What's the worst that can happen? Worse comes the worse I will just hop on the treadmill.. Thanks for all of the help

I just had bad results from eating everything insight. Went from 165 to 195 in one year. Put on a ton of muscle but a layer of fat around my stomach. Got down so I have four abs now. Just can't get rid of the lower ab fat and love handles. Its been a few years now too. I can tell a huge difference in my metabolism. I was always a skinny kid and now I have to watch what I eat. I think my year of binging messed my system up. I'm no scientist tho.

I am 25, 6'1" and weigh about 177-180 depending on what time of the day it is. As for body fat I am not really sure. Maybe around 17-18%. I was told to use the measure your neck and subtract that from your stomach method. the neck is around 15 1/2 and around my stomach is about 33. 17.5, I am not sure how accurate that method is.

Don't provoke your insulin, man. As long as you keep your insulin under control you ain't gonna get fat.

How do you control your insulin? Not sure what provokes my insulin. Can you explain a bit? Thanks.

Carbs = sugar. Sugar provokes your insulin. This is what insulin does to your body

1. converts sugar to fat and stores as body fats.
2. reduces energy levels
3. increases cholesterol production
4. increases triglycerides in the blood
5. increases risk of atheroclerosis

Protein promotes Glucagon. Glucagon
1. breakdowns stored fats and convert to energy
2. reduces cholesterol
3. reduces triglycerides
4. increases energy levels

Fat is neutral. Fat can't provoke insulin nor glucagon. No matter how much of fat you eat, you just can't get fat. If you eat a hi carb low protein, the insulin spike will be greater than eating carb alone.

Eating fat helps your body to utilize body fat as energy while on low carb diet. Otherwise your body will 'eat' your muscles and use the aminos as energy. So don't neglect eating fat while on low carb. Fat is not the enemy, carb is.

Great progress!
I think... that you are very focused on gaining weight. I think that is awesome. However.. I think your body can only grow so much in a period of time... before it slows down.. than eventually stops... I think that you are putting too much pressure on yourself to gain weight....
I think that more time is needed..
I think that your body needs more training and more time invested into your muscles..
So.. the bottom line is.. Keep training. Eat Healthy... Snack through out the day.. Keep strict training and your muscles will develop and grow gradually and consistantly. Don't worry about mass and how weight isn't added to your frame over a period of a few weeks.

Lol, you make it sound like carbs are the devil. You must be an atkins worshipper. Whatever happened to Dr atkins anyhow? Oh yeah, he died of heart disease. lol

First of all, carbs DO NOT reduce your energy level, theyre what give you energy. The energy you need to sustain an intense workout.

Second, spiking your insulin is what makes your body go into an anabolic state. It forces the protein into the cell. Your body cant be anabolic without carbs theres no muscle building.

And with regards to cholesterol and the heart, just exercising and being in good shape will take care of that in most cases. The minute i got my ass in shape all my cholesterol issues disappeared and i certainly dont limit my carbs.

However, if your goal is to be a 150lb gym rat then by all means stick with the low/no carb diets.

It has been forever since I have posted on this website. I figured I would throw up some recent pics. Over the past 16 weeks I kind of went on a cutting routine. I stopped working out for a while, so I figured I would shed some unwanted flab. Just recently (Monday) I started consuming 4k calories a day. I am going to try to gain some mass to my little self...
