After: Age 34, 6'3", 228lbs

WHYI GOT STARTED
I got started when I realized my waist reached size 38 and I did not like where I was headed. I soon began to change my diet and eat better foods and remove fast food. I still have one fast food meal a week, usually on the weekend, which is my days off from training. But nothing more than that. And never eat french fries. Pop is another thing that was eliminated from the diet. I now comsume anywhere from 150g-220g of protien a day.

HOW I DID IT
Though strict dietstrict discipline, and hard workouts. I would say that rest is the number one thing you can do to grow when it comes to muscle building. If you work your butt off for hrs a day in a gym, eat tons of good foods, but dont rest properly, then your wasting your time.

SUPPLEMENTS
I have been taking Vitargo CGL, NoXplode, Multivitamins, Arginine Ethyl Ester by Higher Power, and Prolabs Nlarge2.

DIET
Diet varies daily, always making sure the protien goal is reached. I eat between 6-8 meals a day, spaced out evenly. Protien mixed with milk seems to be my key as the milk slowsthe protien breakdown and increaes the protien intake, simply by adding it to the powder. I eat everything from eggs, to chicken, to beef, to pasta. No pop, no alcohol, no and absolutley, NO FAST FOOD.

EXERCISE
I workout Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri. Off Wednesdays and weekends. Mondays I do chest and triceps, tuesdays I do delts and biceps, off wed, then thursday is legs and fridays I usually will use to do back and whatever bodypart I didn't feel satisifed with during the week. (whatever lacked a good workout)

CHEST
5 sets bench press, reps 6-12
4 sets incline press, reps 8-15 with a lighter weight
3 sets DB Presses both incline and flat, also decline
throwing in some pec deck til failure...

BICEPS
5 sets standing barbell curls 6-8 reps
4 sets seated barbell curls 10-12 reps
incline db curls 3 sets 8-10 reps

TRICEPS
4 sets pressdowns 12-15 reps
Weighted dips, 4 sets 20-25
rope pressdowns, 3 sets to failure

DELTOIDS
db press, 5 sets 8-15 reps
laterls raises, 4 sets 8-12 reps
reverse pec deck flyes, 3 sets to failure

BACK
pulldowns, 5 sets 10-15 reps
bent rows, 4 sets 10-12 reps
shurgs, db or barbell, 3 sets t ofailure

LEGS
leg extensions, 4 sets 10-20 reps
leg curls, 4 sets 10-15 reps
standing calf raises, 3 sets with barbell 15-20 reps
plate squats, 3 sets to failure

MY SUGGESTION TO OTHERS
My suggestion for other would be if your not seeing results, don't give up. If you give up, all your giving up on is yourself. Things take time, especially when you change the way you look. Change is hard, and you need patience. Dont look in the mirror everyday and ask yourself if what your doing is working. I look in the mirror alot, but I wait until others mention things to me in order to tell if I am getting bigger, or looking different. We are hardest on ourselves. Don't be. Follow the steps that get you there, and it will come. I am living proof. Be strong!

I have nothing against homos.....You might try not to judge people because of their color, race, religion or sexual preferance......get to know them and then decide if they are good people.

My opinion is that you did use steroids......if you didnt then why are you so mad???? Hell if it were me I would take it as a compliment...either way you look good

Woa there Tex not change your opinion?? How can you not you are in the wrong this guy did the work and did it without gear how are you not wrong?? I will ask you again to explain yourself I can deal with flames and fights but and disagreements to a degree but bro you are blasting the guy about gear and he never did it he did the work you blamed him for not doing so how the hell is your opnion not wrong??

27 Jan 2006 03:17

He is saying he doesn't believe he did it without juice. he is entitled to his opinion and that's his opinion...

Personally, I know it's possible to make the changes like that naturally. But again, you are going to get some that don't believe it was a natural progression.

I for one didn't try to make people think I went the natural route, but that doesn't mean that lifthard2005 follows the same integrity...

Either way, job well done and keep up the good work...

Man PB now I really have lost some respect for you..I kow to a degree call it like you see and I will do the same for you..Your a complete ass to think what he did was not natual and it is fine for you to think that as it is fine for me to think you are in no way a good judge for who has done gear and who has not..

I do see his pics being in any way overbearing to the fact he used gear..Easily possible for him to do what he did natual and for you to jump on him like that just shows you may have some sort of insecurities for those that were able to do such a thing..

I think it was very wrong of you do handle it the way you did and a step back in to whatis possible is somwthing you might want to look into..Plus the fact you didn't apologize for your actions and just said I will edit is a kidds way to say i don't give a crap if I disrespected him..So go about your biz bro but your on a dif page with some of us on how you decided to handle it....Storm

Sorry Storm, I was rough on the guy and I should have just not made a comment. I trained hard and natural for the first 7 years of my training......so when I see a guy say he put on 35+ lbs of natural muscle in a year, I know it's bull ( 205 and fat to 228 and ripped....so 35-40lbs in one year). If I see bull sh-t I call it.....guess I should not do that on this site...from now on I will make no comments when I read a big lie.

27 Jan 2006 04:29

Personally, I have the genetics of a silverback and I put on around 40lbs of lean body mass in the last 9 months UNNATURALLY! I would not have been able to do it without gear. No way, no how!

I'm not incinuating anything here, just making a statement of FACT.

27 Jan 2006 04:36
Storm
I put on 25lb of pure lean muscle all natural in less then 6mths so considering his first pic he didn't look fat he look to me as if he just never trained..

Hell I probaly put on close to 35lb myself in that year but the dif was I was training in the gym it was just the first time I decided to see how big I could get and set a gaol to get to before I was going ot use gear and I made that goal of 225 at 10%..

I went fomr a very lean 172 to about 215 (pudgy) in 4 mths then trimmed back down to about 195 and was as lean as I started 6 mths earlier...So yes it is possible..I went on to 225lb took me about another 7 mths or so...

There are times when you can put your mond to it and grow if he had not been much into training and did it right I totally belive it possible not saying it is the golden truth I justs till think it was all handled wrong considering what he has showed so far..All good...Storm

He mentions wearing a size 38. That's near impossible. 6'3 - 38 Waist and weighing in at 205. I'm 5'11 and weigh 205 and am still only at a 33 Waist.

I hope he really did it naturally, and wicked props if he did. But that's alot of ground to cover for the average person in a year.

lil bit
I have to say that this is the most drastic(sp?) transformation that has ever been posted on here. As for the rest of it, I wish it was easier to lose weight then gain it...shit, you guys talk about upping your weight 30-40lbs at a time without effort, meantime here I am trying to lose 8 inches and fighting for every millimeter...something just isn't right here!

Overall, I have to say that the dedication and determination of the gentleman who started this thread serves as a watermark for those of us...meaning myself..who need the extra kick in the ass.

What is that not possible he could just have a big gut..Do we really even need to get into the fact what you wear in pants and what your wais is differs in a huge way..Go get a tape measure and tape out your waist around your belly button I can promise you it will vary grealt on what your pants size says...

OK......

He said he "wears a size 38" not 38 inches. There is NO WAY he could be 6'3 and 205 pounds and wear a size 38... NO WAY... At 6'3 / 205 - that's a slim guy. Think about it.

hey its possible man. he also said he was approaching a 38, to me meaning he was in a 36 but on his way (if he didn't do something about it) to a 38. bump storm, he could have just had a gut with a small upper and lower body.
i have personally seen this in my father. he is 6'3" and a few years ago he weighed about 205 and wore a 36. he is now down to 185 (he's 56 years old) and in a 34...

GREAT JOB on the transformation! and Welcome to the boards..

Obvious you have never seen a gy who is tall and skinny with a big ol beer gut...I have seen guys easliy under 200lbs and no shorter then 6' and have a huge big ball of a stomach sticking out...From the back you would think out of shape but skinny then they turn around and there is alien twins about to pop out of them...Take a second nect time your walkin around I can promise you it won't take long to find one..
