So gymphreak u got alotta stretch marks that arnt fading? HWO CAN u show ur muscles off?
05 Apr 2005 03:06
I have some on the out side of my pecs and on my legs. The ones on my pecs are right by the armpit and are gnarly looking. Not much you can do but wear them with pride. Tanning will lessen their appearance. I have heard of a couple of creams that will help, one being retin-a, and the other one I'd have to look for, but it is 120 bucks for an 8oz tube. I never tried either long enough to know how well they work. Used retin-a for a few weeks and didn't do much. I'd just suggest tanning I think that's the best option.

I have huge red stretch marks between my chest and shoulder on bother sides of my body, i used trilastin for a few months it pretty expensive but worth it they faded significantly.

Anyhow, Their is a stretch mark creame(sp) at GNC for pregnant women. I have been using it for about two weeks now. It doesn't prevent them but it helps them heal a lot faster.

Word of warning if you're fair skinned: tanning might help w/ stretch marks but you're likely to start getting moles as you get older. They look worse then stretch marks imho, and it's $$$ to get them removed!

i'm not a crazy fan of tanning..but i guess its not too bad in moderation..i would just prefer stretch marks to skin cancer, so be careful

This is a really old thread but just a bit of FYI since tanning was mentioned to try hide stretch marks, It's not the best idea because stretch marks will tan quicker than your normal skin and can stand out more. If you tan quick or have dark skin it would prob be ok. The stretch marks will eventually return to normal skin colour over time.
