Don't bullshit around thinking you have to be a certain weight to do it..It takes time just like it does to build up a good body..My advice to anyone who is thinking about doing a show is plain and simple...DO IT!! If you do it right the growth you get after a good diet is insane and you don't have to do any gear to grow like a weed after a show...My last show I went from 215 to 240 in less then 4 weeks..Clean..I then did 4 weeks of IGFr-3 and put on another 12lbs still clean of gear...So quit thinking your gonna step on stage looking like a pro that will take time and doing shows will get you there...Storm

Ditto brother just watch that first real meal after you compete guys cause you would be amazed at the amount of food you can eat after being on a diet for 8 weeks lol. Think I put on 10 lbs in first few days after my show :D

I have read a theory in Chemical Muscle Enhancement that dieting down and over training for two weeks right before a cycle can give you fanominal growth. I'm not so sure I agree alot with the over trainin part, but I do believe that dieting gives you one hell of an appetite.

I am injured right now....again....so I will be taking two weeks off and cutting back cals to 2000. When I come back, I will bump cals back to 3400-3600 and going on cycle I am HOPING that the Eq will give me more of an appetite and help me achieve 4000.

Shortz I think his thinking is along the lines of dual factor theory of training, ie you can build up a fitness effect in this case hypertrohpy and strength, without having recovered from fatigue. When you back off the training your body recovers from the fatigue and the full training effect shows itself

Nice post!
After my first show I went from 172 to 191lbs in the matter of 4 1/2-5 weeks clean. I am currently 213lbs. Overall my body is thicker than ever and my muscles are so dense. I ate nothing but shit the night of my show nd the next day and it felt good!It was awesome too because it didnt make you look fat or anything, ripped to hell and eating like crap! LOL! It will eentually catch up!

LOL

It's what some call shit loading....carb loading. Competators do it right before a show because the carbs will make the muscles look full. But timing is everything and you can really screw it up.

thats one of the best post i have read on the subject. After i did my first show this past april I gained 12 to 14lb of solid thick muscle, i have a completely different physique. I did it completely clean. When you diet down to the state you are in for a show your body just soaks up food and turns into dense muscle. I am looking forward to another rebound affect come june of next year after my show.
